Tribal Communications partners with Ready.net to close the digital divide in Indian country

Tribal Communications, LLC announces a new partnership with Ready.net (Ready) / Broadband.money that will expand both companies’ capacity to support broadband, digital equity, and other broadband and telecommunications projects with Tribal Nations, entities, and enterprises.

As unprecedented federal funding is deployed across the country, TC and Ready are committed to championing Tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and economic independence by creating robust Tribally-owned and operated broadband services.

“Our partnership with Ready.net through Broadband.money allows us to access more technology and expertise for Indian Country, said Joe Valandra (Sicangu Lakota), Senior Vice President of Tribal Communications.

“Together, we are launching a custom Tribal Community Broadband Toolkit that will allow Tribes to establish their own empirical connectivity data and profiles, as well as a Tribal Broadband Community on Broadband.money, an information, communication and resource platform for Tribes.”

The partnership is focused on developing and expanding expertise, technology, partners, and opportunities to expand broadband services, network infrastructure, and digital equity in partnership with Tribes. Ready helps broadband professionals connect more people to better services through its cloud-based software and data tools. In addition to its expertise in broadband and planning services, Tribal Communications brings decades of leadership, economic development, and tribal relations experience.

“It’s time Tribes everywhere get strong, reliable access to broadband,” said Ready’s Co-Founder and CEO, Jase Wilson. Tribal Communications has the authentic leadership, experience, and track record to get the job done. We’re excited to help them with our purpose-built tools to help Tribes win their fair share of broadband resources.”

Leveraging the data and technology of Ready’s broadband.money platform, TC will work with Tribes to streamline processes for broadband grant research, applications, and ongoing reporting & compliance. Given the unique challenges (e.g., capacity and resources) for Tribes to navigate broadband expansion for their reservations, the partnership will provide tools that make funding and planning processes faster, easier, and more accurate by bringing together multiple data sets and workflow tools in an easy-to-use interface.

TC’s leadership has been a leading voice and advocate in D.C. and throughout Indian Country. They are working with Tribes and states throughout the country to navigate policy, funding, and the unique challenges that come with expanding broadband services and infrastructure.

Tribal Communications, LLC, is a subsidiary of Tribal Solutions Group, LLC, a national company with a long history and successful track record of partnering with Tribes and Tribal enterprises across the United States. Both TC and Ready are committed to being community partners dedicated to closing the digital divide throughout Indian Country.
