Here are the key dates for Maine broadband grant opportunities

Maine has been one of the states that has a well-established broadband grant program, and it's well positioned to land and defend its share of federal broadband grant funding.

Maine's Connectivity Authority has made sure that it coordinates closely with local communities so that it has its ears to the ground in terms of their broadband needs. 

So it's not surprising that it is encouraging its residents to take broadband speed tests to help figure out local communities' needs

It's also not a big surprise that there are a lot of big dates coming up for the Maine broadband grants community. Check out the list below:

Program: Connect the Ready

Maine Connectivity Authority hosted an engagement session on August 15. There is a recording online if you missed it.

On September 23, they will release Connect the Ready’s program guidance. 

On October 10, the application window for Connect Ready will open.

On October 14, there will be a webinar applicants can access to help them navigate the Connect the Ready application process.

The application deadline is November 9, at 11:59 pm.

Program: Reach Me Line Extension Incentives

Maine Connectivity Authority hosted an engagement session on August 10. There is a recording online if you missed it. 

On October 10, the application window for Reach Me Line Extension Incentives will open.

On October 21, there will be a webinar applicants can access to help them navigate the Reach Me Line Extension Incentives application process.

On October 31, the request for quotes deadline will close at 11:59 pm.

Applicants’ proposals will be due on December 2 at 11:59 pm. 

Also, check out the FCC’s website to learn more about Affordable Connectivity Program-qualified ISPs in Maine.
