Local Coordination

The process of grant applicants engaging with and conducting specific outreach to local and tribal communities they intend to serve. Local coordination promotes alignment of priorities between service providers, state and local government leaders, Tribal leaders and community members and helps ensure visibility of local needs and preferences. Robust community engagement efforts increase initial adoption rates once the broadband is deployed in an area and stimulate awareness about specific programs that can support the local community.
