Reliable Broadband Service

Reliable Broadband Service Banner Image

Under the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment grant program (BEAD), “reliable broadband service” is define as broadband service that the FCC's Broadband DATA Maps show is accessible to a location via: (i) fiber-optic technology; (ii) Cable Modem/ Hybrid fiber-coaxial technology; (iii) digital subscriber line (DSL) technology; or (iv) terrestrial fixed wireless technology utilizing entirely licensed spectrum or using a hybrid of licensed and unlicensed spectrum.
